I Need To Man Up and Love Myself

I Need to MAN Up And Love Myself
I'm just like a book on a bookshelf,
Haven't been read in a while
It's like I'm living in a state of defilement
It's dusty, who's been treated unjustly

So I turn and see a pristine book on the shelf
And that book is all about Love
And I say "Love open up"
I look in for a closeup

I felt the urge to put my feelings in writing
I really feel our connection is tightening
My dear beloved
I really feel my life did just start

I would rather have you than a million bucks
You are like a white swan amidst ordinary ducks
I think we are the perfect match
For you, I am willing to stretch

You mean so much to me
With you, I really feel free
Eternal bliss is where I'm bound
Near you, everything is sound

This Self-Love is for you, I hope you will like it
Because loving you, I will never quit
This poem has come to an end
Remember that, without you, my heart feels bent

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
