Fake Flowers
It’s not your lies
I can’t take
I can fashion those
making them
into a bouquet
of plastic or
better yet
fake flowers
it’s the fact that
you take me
for someone easy
with emotions
to be plucked
like strings
on a jazz bass
and used for chords
in your grand
musical score
