Photographic Portrait

I opened my eyes to see
A faint blanket of mist
At the earliest part of sunrise
As the fog began to lift

With my tripod
I could not resist
To take the camera
More for the gallery
Love in photography

The elegance in nature
Always so fascinating
Ever so peaceful

Beautiful to be
In the meadows
Preferably alone

The lake's ripples
Gleaming exquisitely
Looking at the clear water
Sometimes showing me
My own reflection

Insects and flowers
Animals on the fields
Lakes and rivers
People and myself

I capture them all
Not in a cage
But in a photo
For all to see

Not disturbing them
So I can return
Some other day
To see them again
In all their glory
