Touched by Fire

Touched by fire.
The radiating warmth counters
The dank cool air that succeeds sundown.

A dance of yellow and orange
Catches my eye.
There’s a world of wonder set in those coals.

The scent of its consumption
Of maple, oak, and other hard woods
Fetches a peaceful moment of destruction.

The crackling and popping washes away
The days accumulated pollution of noise
That refused to let go.

My senses filled
With this violently relaxing event
Sets my mind in motion.

I can now capture the colorful
Visions from my minds eye
In my little book of thoughts.

mind- the controller of everything; so, those who know to control the mind, can control everything!
