My Love

My Love

Falling in love at sixteen.
The rest of my life would exist for her.

We would separate for two years,
But I would be back to that coastal town.

Finally, I return to Misty.
Eyes with rays of blue in the golden sunshine.

Taste of the salt on her lips,
She is my reason for being.

Spending every moment together,
Misty and me. Our love will ever be.

Watching the sunset together,
A smile on my face as I say thanks.

At night Misty comforts me,
Rocking me to sleep.

In the morning sunrise wakes me.
The aroma of Misty is as refreshing as coffee.

Time flew by as wind in my sails.
Sixty-Five years I made love to my Misty

No one knew of our long affair,
They went through life without a care.

Now my life is at its end,
Saying goodbye with this pen.

This is the way it is meant to be,
Bury me in the Misty sea.
