Alone

I'm all alone
You relinquish me.
The hurt, the torment it causes
You do not see.

What have I done to deserve
This pain?
To feel and endure this sadness
I live in distain.

To have a friend, that's all I ask.
I'll act superb, put on my mask.
Someone to talk to, to laugh with.
I can only dream of this.

My family, it seems, have forgotten my name.
Friends have all left, not one remains.
Lord, comfort me, I beg you please.
I need a friend, someone, anyone....
I'm on my knees.

For this contempt I feel will be my death.
This unending sadness will lay me to rest.
Please someone, hear my cry.
Alone I plea, just one friend.... I sigh.

I'm gone.
