In My Mind

Strength comes as quickly as night erases the sun. Inward the warm glow of wisdom and righteousness intertwines with decisions and reluctance. How to cope and perceive goals and dreams trickle through our souls with an ebbing sea of worry and self doubt.
Awake with the wonder of use; I soar through the universe without wings, gliding: a feather upon the wind. I see without eyes, you are my sight mindless and without shape. You form ideas; thoughts which are constantly accelerating and begging me to go forward. Unafraid, I approach the edge; your fingertips present secure and inviting like an old friend.
I expand now my horizons, sun warm on my face feet barely in touch with the earth. Sights and smells arouse me; sounds oozing with a life that is mine. Never have I been so willing to dream, to see, to touch. I am as a child searching always searching, a whisper, a moment.
Feelings are with me now; I am! I will be a brightness, a beacon for all to see. I am at peace as nature clings to life. I clutch to inner spirit of worth. Reassured, I go forward as a lion into the jungle's wilderness tingling with the delight of my own superiority.

Kathleen, I enjoyed reading, vivid use of imagery.
