Base
My new favourite place
To lay here and write
My mind is at ease
No struggle
No fight
My little ones room
While he’s fast asleep
A light in the corner
His breathing so deep
It’s here I find comfort
And peace with the world
This room filled with Lego
And first words we’ve learned
Somehow his kingdom
Makes me feel safe
His four walls protected
The ultimate base
Or maybe it’s him
A hero who’s four
My own little champion
My winner of wars
A moment like this
A second in time
I’ll keep in my heart
This moments mine
