Thoughts In Concert

1.
Loose, frayed ends
Of connecting threads
Are left to wonder
Which of the treacherous passages
Pulled their unseasoned fragility
Too tautly.

2.
Is it the
Repetition in an existence
Of need and habit,
Without nuance or sight,
That fractures the heart of
Tired connections?
Perhaps, simply, the
Twisting journey of
Motion and rhythm
That unravels
The delicately wrapped cord
As disorientation
Turns it in circles?

Or might it be something beautiful
As when descant
Diverges from melody?
