Why Are You Crying

Why are you crying?
I’m crying because my bottle of emotions is overflowing.

Because my heart and soul yearns for something that isn’t there.
I’m crying because memories overwhelm me.
Why are you crying?
I’m crying because I have feelings that can’t be suppressed.
The tears cascade down my cheeks like a light rain, but a tear doesn’t take away the pain.

Why are you crying?
I cry because I care I sit and ponder silently and just stare.
Into a daze my tears take me, I can’t hurt anymore don’t try to wake me.

Why are you crying?
I’m crying because I’m Human, I feel, and I love.
Hopefully someone will help me up above.

Why are you crying?
I’m not crying tears of sadness, these are tears of joy.
I look back on my life and realise emotions are not a toy.
