The Mirror

False realities stained in glass.
Never picturing the fragments.
The cracks,
bruises,
scars.
Only the outside,
reflected.
Small smiles.
Eyelashes painted in thick, dark beauty.
Eyes glimmering with hope
and with tears.
For every time hurt, a glance avoided.
Fear the mirror itself will crack.
As she does.

Such vivid imagery, I can feel as if I am there and feeling all those deep emotions. Well done, so delicately and forcefully written. Charlotte
