A Test of Faith

The purest thing in the world is laughter even through tears-
It's almost like your breaking through all of those fears,
Fear of showing emotions you have locked inside,
Emotions that left you weak, so you chose to hide.

Tears are the door to a broken soul,
Once you let them free you almost feel whole,
For your holding the pain that you left within,
Pain that would become visible as they break through skin.

If you don’t let go you will feel black and weak,
Thinking that man’s love is all you seek,
And need,
a seed,
to feed a damaged heart,
But in reality you have lost a vital part.

He held the key to unlock that emotion,
To let free that pain that caused all that commotion,
Of empty thoughts, of empty love, of empty faith,
To turn that lost sheep to love instead of hate.

You laugh because you see the truth.
That after all that pain God lets the light through.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
