Restoration From Brokenness

A little teary blue eyed girl
Briskly sailing into the pure air
Swinging was her sole escape
From the clinching sorrow within

Sorrow embedded so long ago
Gripped her heart and soul
Crying to the magnificent oak
As her protector standing so tall

A protector from the walls inside
Painted with dismal colors
Shades of addiction and abuse
Enhanced shadows of deep secrets

Deep secrets birthed affliction
Affliction darkened pretty blue eyes
Tears flowed as battles scarred
Anticipation of restoration grew

Restoration from heavenly realms
Arms extended for one lost soul
Colorful beams of love and mercy
Restored by Christ and now made whole
