The Most Confusing of Fears

Parting is such sweet sorrow, as someone once said
They could be sick and dying, or already dead
I’m holding heavy thought inside my head
And I’m waiting for you with terrible dread

If talking is so hard for me and you
Then how do you do it all the time like you do
Speaking to a stranger isn’t hard at all
But talking to a friend, there’s a chance that you’ll fall

Social Anxiety is the strangest thing
The worst thing could happen, at least inside of your brain.
I like to talk to friends I say but it’s terrifying
All my friends could leave me and do some other thing

Take away my fears about my friends
Every single moment feels like the brink of the end
What did I do to make my fears begin?
I love them more than life but why do I fear them?

Long awaiting conversations conversatings hard
I collected words for sentences but my memory is scarred
I push my life and limits but you just disregard
I’m waiting for you to notice, I’m always on guard

Popping in between a sentence isn’t quite nice
And doing it is risking just like rolling a infinite sided dice
I can’t quite organize my thousands of thoughts
But I don’t think I’m angry I’m just tired and soft

Social Anxiety is the strangest thing
The worst thing could happen, at least inside of your brain.
I like to talk to friends I say but it’s terrifying
All my friends could leave me and do some other thing

Take away my fears about my friends!
Every single moment feels like the brink of the end
What did I do to make my fears begin?
I love them more than life but why do I fear them?

Rhyming is actually quite hard for me
I need to rhyme and step in time and sway like a tree
It seems like I’m playing a silly game and it seems like thats how I’ll remain and harder and harder comes the rain and I am becoming much less tame and I-

Take away my fears about my friends
Every single moment feels like the brink of the end
What did I do to make my fears begin?
I love them more than life but why do I fear them?
