Eloise

Eloise,
Picture of poise, grace at night,
Heartbreak in a long red gown.

She rocks in silent reverie
Her fate
Waiting naked on her lap.

Eloise,
Lying in her cold dark decision,
I place a rose over wounds that could not heal.
