Insomnia

Toss and turning in bed
Ducking the sheets
Crazy dreams, I still can't sleep
Television blurring, my eyes
And the silent weep
As we working for food, working for clothes
Spiritual battling so many foes
Spiritual battling keep composure
Looking for closure, look at them all
Up and pacing real fast, now pacing real slow
Think of my peers where did they go
Braid up my hair, then cut off my hair
Peaceful glares, out of the the window
Wanna be cool, everything's cool
read the bible the Elohim, Is Jesus smooth
I'm all over the place , my problems moving me Faster and faster in the direction of booze
Slept on the couch, used to the floor
Went to the bed, scratched on my head
Out of my brain, going insane
Gotta maintain, I gotta maintain
Look at the wall, doze off, at 3:00 there go the door
I wish people leave me alone, cut off my phone,
turn to the news Pestilence and of course, death, and war
Got thinking , Can I make it to heaven? What am I here really here for
So those who oppose,
Sleep in the mind,
sleep in the heart
Never rewind, never recline,
never deny
Remember we in it to win it, until I fly
In it to rise, as long as the sun could shine
I'd never be blind
