My Fingertips

your cheeks flush

blooming red of a spring strawberry’s blossom against your soft golden glow

my hands press to my lips and i let out a sharp gasp

oh prince, what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and you are the sun!

my love as you breath a soft sweet breath your eyes flutter and shift

and oh, your your lips like the barest touch of the wind’s whisper as it passes

i hide the tips of my fingers ‘neath my thighs

they are vengeful little sprites and i must contain them, lest they disturb your quiet night

oh fairest king, i envy your peace

there’s a rolling in my stomach and a sharpness in my chest, i am begging to adorn you with jewels of my precious love but i must be kind, i would hate if you woke me so

oh prince oh king oh god upon gods the moon warns me so and the sky she tells me no

but my fingers, they beg me for respite and not to hold them in spite just one night one tiny little slight

and oh how must i refuse them when they beg so dearly so i lean forward and with the barest of touch, they follow your cheeks, the line of your nose the shadow of your eyes and a sigh breathes from within me

and your eyes

oh no

they blink open

i’m so sorry, please don’t be mad, please

oh

a giggle passes through your lips

“again? come to bed already silly”

i hide my eyes behind my fingers and fall into your welcoming arms

oh love, oh nymph of the forest, statue in gold, crest of the sun over smiling gaia, burst of bloom across my eyes there’s a love in my chest that springs forth and somehow i can’t seem to control it and as i bath in your arms i relinquish to the steady battle ‘neath my heart.

oh prince, how i love thee

my prince, how i cherish thee
