Remembering Things You Want To Forget

Ripples running from the moist
Hot, water.
That mix together with heat and create light.
As is the way of summer,
Steaming,
Fleshing out black letters
Micro chips in beaded into your skin.
Where the hard sounds of sentences
And paragraphs
Flourish.
Like the air plants that dangle from the clouds
Taking in nervousness
Through their roots
Absorbing the knowledge
With out the need for space
To breath.
Shorts, shoes
Too small to soak in earth
Quakes
That rumble our heads,
Shaking out beads of sweat.
Give me a moment to comprehend
What is God.
Is he rocks beneath our feet,
That crumble when we cry.
Is he light,
From the darkened sky.
That follow the feeling of paradise,
And trickling water,
That is falsely turning us into plants.
