The Other Me

Slowly,
Creeping,
Sliding,
Gliding,
Gripping,
Choking.
Ever so quietly
Engulfing my being

Don't know her
Never seen before
And yet...
She is me
I am her
I am NOT!

Glass shatters
Mirror is broken
Millions of pieces
Hands are bleeding
She is gone!

She haunts me
I killed her
I broke the mirror
Her cold dark eyes
mock me
My ignorance
amuses her

Millions of pieces
millions of eyes

Pieces are swept
Beads of sweat
into my eyes
Stinging!Ow!
I am all alone now

And yet-
She is there
With me
Sitting,
waiting,
laughing,
mocking.

'I'm coming...'
she says
Cold,dark, metallic voice
'To become you'
Soulless eyes
Mirthless laugh

I fight
I scream
NO!
'Yes' she says
A blood curdling whisper
'I am you'
'You are me'
She laughs

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
