Can I Give Thanks

Can I give thanks, unto God above
Who is my Saviour, my God, my love
My Saviour true, my Saviour sure
Who washed my sins, and made me pure

Can I give thanks, as I praise his name
Because I’m the reason, I’m why he came
Who died and arose, on that third day
To save our souls, He’s the only way

Can I tell of his blessings, to me bestowed
Cause I could never pay, the debt I owed
Now that my sins, are forever gone
I long to bow, at my Saviours throne

Can I give thanks, while he holds my hand
As he leads me in, this pilgrim land
This fellowship of love, in his abiding care
Assures my soul, he will always be there

Can I give thanks, and share his glory
Of all his works, that tell his story
From creation’s work, to his eternal reign
And of his praise, we’ll forever sing

I will give thanks, with all my heart
As we worship him, I’ll do my part
There is much more, as this seems a lot
So worthy of thanks, I could never stop

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
