Guilty Pleasure

Of what use are my words for you
If they fail to reach your ears
My poetry is my refuge
Now you’re turning into one too

Why do you offer familiarity?
Aren't you sensible of what it can do to me?
Thy guilt was stark naked behind those smiles
Who are you trying to impress, my love?

Please return me that letter of mine
Which was treasured by your eyes
Read by your lips
Touched by your hands
And perfumed by thy contact

Tapping on my back to get my attention
Your hands advancing for my brush
Whom shall I blame for the delicacy of this heart?
You must muster second thoughts
Before attacking my realms (again)

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
