To Those Who Fail

To those who win the prize is given
They laugh and dance in glee
And little thought is ever given
To those who claim defeat.

Yet if not for those who walk
In shame and oft despair
Away from dreams unfulfilled
They would not be there.

For every one who wins the prize
Unsung are those who fail
But they’re the ones who often push
The victor to the grail

So hats off to those who tried
But suffer their defeat
The day will come when you alone
Will gain the victor’s seat.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

This piece screams of distress. I can only hope that if it sheds truth on a real life scenario that you have found the courage and strength to carry on. It seems impossible at times but life can be our best revenge. All the best.

This took me back to the exciting bible stories of my Sunday School youth! Thanks for the memories.
