Refugees Matter

Hopes of happiness,
Laughter,
Turn into darkness and fear.
Screaming,
Shouting,
A spray of despair.
Tugged in my heart,
Ripping out my hair.
Nowhere to turn,
Nowhere to hide,
So much is going on,
Looking around,
Eyes filled with horror,
My country is falling apart,
Guns shooting,
Rebellious,
Tears of sadness,
Dropping down my cheek.
Gone are the dreams,
The hopes of joy,
Because of this war.
This war,
This destruction,
This tragic fate.
Where is the love,
The kindness,
The care,
For refugees?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

This is a really lovely poem, yeah first of all the whole humanity should avoid wars because by waging wars we are killing our brothers, but if even a war happens, other countries must come to action and if not more atleast help the refugees. I wish you a very warm welcome here on poetrysoup, I am sure that you will enjoy your long stay here, good luck and continue to write
