Tears
why do we cry
when we know that tears
cant make the pain go away?
that all they are is useless water
falling from your eyes
stinging your broken lips
and not healing your broken heart.
why do we cry
if nothing can stop the pain
we can cry rivers in a lifetime
and swim in nothing but the pain they never stopped.
we try so hard to feel everything
to see everything in the world
but pain
we never want it
because you cannot touch it or see it
you just try to catch the fallen tears
in your hands and in your heart.
