You Shut My Crazy Out

You Shut My Crazy Out

You shut my crazy out,
and something in my chest slips.
Something in my chest tightens,
Something eerie sweeps my brain
and tickles me in the back of my neck.

Who are you?
I start to question our relationship,
my existence,
my purpose.

What do you want?
You're so neat and ordered.
You're so focused.
You have expectations and I'm not delivering.
Make me feel like I'm running with a glitch.

What's wrong with me?
Sometimes I act crazier than crazy
like there's something mentally wrong with me.
You can't tolerate it
ask me to shut it
and my mood flips.

Do you even know me?
Sometimes it feels like you don't.
An oversimplification of my feelings amplifies
your black and white
this not that
world view.
It makes me uncomfortable.
If I'm so simple,
why does my gut sting
and tongue spit vile
when you disappear.

It's not right,
I know.
But I don't exist to be right.
I exist because I don't want to miss out.
I want everything before I die,
including you.

Losing all that Testosterone
will do some good.
These passionate fumes need
to blow out.

I just wanna live sometimes.
And sometimes, I can't
help but think
you stop me from doing that.
And that's what hurts the most.
