A Search For Peace

by Being True

An escape is what I need so I'll take this bottle of aspirin

and go to sleep.

Float above the sky and into the unknown. Will I find

the happiness that I could not on Earth.

I see many things as I wander

yet I see nothing at all.

A transparent woman with shoulder length hair

is giving my a loving and knowing smile.

I wish I could touch her. I try and fail

each and every time.

She's getting farther and farther away from me and then

a flash.

Doctors surround me and cold electric medal is on me.

I hear nothing. Feel nothing.

Then freedom comes and I fly.

Looking down at my body on the table.

I have died.
