The Long wait

And he waited , she had promised to call when she returned home , he had no doubt that she would have,
And so he waited minutes became hours ours became a day ,
She said she would, he began to wonder , that night spent was blissful so he thought , she said she would never forget it ,
So he waited ,as the minutes became hours , nothing ,
He couldn't understand ,he implicitly said he wasn't the one night kind of guy , she agreed , this meant something to her , question what!? What exactly did it mean !? A release ,a beginning of something !!?
And so he waited as the minutes became hours turning into days...
Sigh !!
