Covid-19 Old Friend, It's Been a Long Time

Is that you? It's been along time.
You look different and yet your the same
Hiding, waiting quietly in the dark
Crooked smile, moist and dripping
You said man needs to be still. Always mixing and matching things that should not be.

Is that you? It's been along time.
People running scared of their own shadow
You closing things down
You mean business this time I see
You said man needs to be still. Always mixing and matching those things that should not be.

Is that you? It's been a long time.
You said you would be back
You would bring humanity to its knees
They can't contain you, even thou they created you
You said man needs to be still. Always mixing and matching things that should not be.

Is that you? It's been a long time
Silence is loud
Streets are void
Life stalled
You said man needs to be still. Always mixing and matching things that should not be.

Is that you? It's been a long time.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
