I Miss You

I Miss You

It's my first day upon this earth
Without my loving Mother
It feels altogether different
Than being without a sister or a brother.

I could talk to her about anything
And she always understood
She loved me through all life's journey
In our sad times as well as good.

There's no one like this jewel
Her beauty always shines through
Even when her dark hair turned to silver
And the wrinkles began to show too

Her inner beauy was always there
Her wisdom strong and true
Never wavering from her convictions
Forever providing advice with value.

Such a huge void now
My heart aches with sadness
Can't pick up the phone to call her
Or send flowers to her address.

I love my mother deeply
I cherish that she was always near
As i think back on many memories
Of our laughter and our tears.

I hold you in my heart Mom
And I will never let go
Your smile, your voice and your sparkling eyes
As I'm reminded how much to you I owe.
