Railway Daughter

She Is Covered In Ash And Soot,
From Head To Foot,
Always Bring The Smell Of Her Father With Her,
The Railway Daughter Never Minds How She Looks.

She Travels The Old Lines Everyday,
Just Going Back And Forth,
Just To See Which Loco Is Pulling,
The Whistle Blows For The Railway Daughter.

She Waits At the Station Every Morning,
First To Embark And Last To A Light,
Never Needs To Pay The Fare,
The Railway Daughter Always Gets On For Free.

She Always Has Her Head Out Of The Window,
No Matter What The Weather Is Outside,
To Make Sure Her Father Is Doing His Job,
Her Father Gives That Little Bit Extra For The Railway Daughter.

She Never Gets Heard Or Seen,
While She Walking Through The Carriages,
To See If Everyone Is Enjoying Themselves,
The Railway Daughter Only Exists In The People's Hearts.

The Just Call Her The Railway Daughter.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Interesting structure. The repetition of "The Railwat Daughter" seemed to draw me in to this very touching description. Thanks for sharing.
