Rainy Day

The rain tumbled down with a roar,
there was nothing that could stop this heavy downpour.
It drizzled and dropped,
it cackled and popped.
I sat inside with nothing to do,
taking a sip from my nice hot stew.
Sitting inside made me feel quite lazy,
all this heavy rain was driving me crazy.
It pounded loudly on the roof,
so loud that it sounded like a reindeer's hoof!
I thought to myself "Why won't it stop?",
then I realized why the rain must drop.
The rain waters the flowers,
for oh so many hours!
One sip from a puddle will bless
all those wild animals in distress.
Earlier I was angrily complaining,
but now I know that some rainy days can be entertaining!
A board game's for a rainy day,
but sometimes I'm the only one who wants to play!
You can colour of draw,
of peel a potato that's raw!
You can dance or sing,
or play with silly string!
Rainy days actually are fun,
but now I have to go outside, because here comes the sun!

An Easter Poem

The Easter bunny’s bright and white, you can see him in the night.
My Easter egg is pretty blue, this makes me think of you.
I’ve been sitting in my room waiting for my Easter flower to bloom.
My gift to my Savior today is my passionate word of pray.
I thank my Savior for what he’s done, Easter Day will be very fun!
