Echo Walker Poem
A prison inside my bedroom walls,
locked up by depression,
Sentenced to a life long guilt,
a murder suicide,
i stole your heart,
and shattered both yours and mine,
not knowing how i loved you,
how important you were to me,
or the depth of our connection,
a prisoner locked in a cell of pain,
looking for an escape that is never found,
i keep hoping to hear from you,
but am disappointed at the end of each day,
i cry myself to sleep,
but i can not blame you,
it was caused by the faults of my own,
now i am forever,
a prisoner in my bedroom walls.

Looking in the mirror,
hating what I see,
the person staring back,
definitely isn't me,
who is this girl?,
she looks like me,
but isn't me,
I do not recognize her,
who is the girl?,
who isn't me,
with scars on her arms,
and bottle in hand,
and why does she seem to hate me?.

I fell to his temptation,
now my heart will never beat again, and my lungs can't breathe,
I'm a living dead girl,
a zombie if you wish to say,
no reason to live,
just here for the ride,
waiting for the day to die,
the blood stopped pumping,
with the air no longer there,
just waiting for the thoughts to stop,
for him to stop whispering in my ear,
I pray with no answer,
he's gone for good,
the one God gave me,
my air and soul,
with the love now gone,
the hearts not pumping,
the lungs aren't breathing,
for I'm a living dead girl.

now I'm drowning I'm my tears,
once again i have no trust,
but a fear of being loved,
because your obsession for the once loved,
you need to let go,
