I Went On Facebook Today

I Went On Facebook Today

I went on Facebook today
And I looked up my old alma mater
Everyone there looked so much older
And also they were all so much fatter
I haven't a clue what happed to me
But I still feel like a teen
I never had a girlfriend in school,
I was a late bloomer
But I did have a thing for a school cheerleader
But I never did reveal my feeling's
I just was not cool in the world of schooling
Never learned the art of flirting
I have decided to give this quest up
Since it left me in the dumps
It's been a very long time to just show up from the past
And reveal myself to these people
It would be nice to see and talk
To some of my old school teachers
But they are all now buried
Most likely under the bleachers
Goodbye Venice High School
And all of the ghosts from my past
That I was long ago, leaving behind
I am letting you go all at once
Just one more thing
About the years of my education
That I forgot to mention
I still have some trepidation
I'm now on the right track
Actually im looking forward, not back
And there is also so much new to behold
That I'm looking forward to
New memories are going to come up
I know that I will treasure
Looking back forty years is just not worth it
Listen carefully im about to sing Old Lang Syne
Having never forgotten those good old times
while growing up

The Clock Ticks

The Clock Ticks

The clock ticks

Its twelve, twelve
It's one, one
It's two, two
It's three, three
Its four, four
It's five, five
It's six, six
It's seven, seven
It's eight, eight
Its nine, nine
It's ten, ten
It's eleven, eleven
Its twelve twelve again
So many hours in a day
Have you done anything with them
You know your life is just passing you by
Are you just going to sit there and just smile?
And do time
It's somehow a waste and maybe even crime
For starters, why don't you get off your big behind
Finds a girl all you need to do is just ask
Stop all of your stupid excuses
Everyone knows you are a total looser
So many things can do
But you just sit there and wonder
What will come to you?
Call your mom or your dad if they are even still around
Say hello to your wife
If she has not left you by now
I bet you do not even know if she is still in town
Ask your children to listen
Maybe you still have one more lesson
What wonderful life,
But you just sit there like a sad clown
Read a book or set an example
Nothing seems to matter to you
I think you are just a fool
So many men and women before you have done so
Left art, book and lesson for you to learn
They were so cool
I have no more advice to give you
Since I can see you are in a mental institution
There is not escaping your incisive whistling
A long time ago you stopped thinking
Listen closely its the nurses coming to give you a lobotomy
I'm so sad you haven't an inkling
After words you will not feel a thing
It won't matter to you if its Summer or late Spring

I Want To Discuss Lunch

I Want To Discuss Lunch

I want to discuss lunch
Such a happy and necessary time.
We can make it so much fun
maybe I will have a burger and some fries.
With a coke for good measure
Wouldn't that be nice?
If I have company with my meals
that would be splendid;
Bring out the jelly.
Maybe I will have a surprise,
fish and chips are so tasty,
Leave out the crust that is flaky
I don't like meat anymore;
My wife is right there to give me guilt and scorn,
sometimes even at the morn.
I love them bagel, locks with cream cheese,
oj that has vitamin c.
Here is an idea,
Why don't I eat my lunch alone?
So I can I eat whatever I long for.
This way no one will be riding with me,
I will get to eat my lunch in peace.

The Girlfriend All Got Together

The Girlfriend All Got Together

The girlfriend all got together
And headed to the amusement park.
They said goodbye
To their husbands and children, that's right.
They had known each other since the early years of childhood
and loved each other more than you will ever know.
They all wanted to go on the roller coaster
and they all were excited to go on it
believe me they planned it.
They all wore their shiny pearls
they all wanted to look good.
Once on the rollercoster
It began to move forward
they were all giggling like crazy
so much fun must be so healthy.
Suddenly someone pulled the lever
And the rollercoster shot up to heaven
Oh, they laughed so hard
when coming down at so fast a pace
The wind was on their faces.
The yelling and laughing It could be heard for miles and miles
A day that will never be forgotten.
The girls had gone to the park to make new memories
That would last this my friends is true love.
The day that will forever leave their mark
on that lovely afternoon at the amusement park.

A Moment Of Silence

A Moment Of Silence #204

A Moment of silence
To remember a tragic loss so serious in my life
To remember my beloved sunglasses
So dear to me
My sunglasses are no longer here
They have departed
You see, from this world on an eve
This is what happened
Let me take you down a road of this crafty, but sad tale
Many years ago, my friend
Who was responsible?
For their loss
We were driving a Cadillac passing the San Francisco bay
And Ojay In Northern California
Such a good time we had back then
On this road trip
I can only reminisce
Of bygone days
That I miss
I had just bought myself some new sunglasses
I paid one hundred dollars for them
They were of the brand name Vuarnet
They must of been French
With name like that
You can tell
They sure were swell
My friend began to bug me at first a little bit
Then he continued
He kept asking me if he could
Wear my shades to see
He would not stop until he got his way
I kept saying no, no
No way
Since they were like gold to me
But finally I gave in and handed them over to him
And what do you think
Happened next
He put them on his head
He looked at himself in the mirror then
Made a sudden move with his neck
And out the window they went
I was in shock and there was nothing I could do
To this day I do not know if he did that on purposes
Who knew?
All I know is he did not pay me back for some new ones
What a dick that guy was
This is the end of this tragic tale of mine Vuarnet's
That ended up on the freeway near the San Francisco bay

Good Night

Good Night

Good night
Time for bed
There is nothing left to be said
If your family taught you some religion,
Then I ask, did you say your prayers?
It's been a day filled with a ton of stuff
Living just one day at a time
Every day is an opportunity to enjoy our lives
For us to resign too
Tomorrow is another day
I say have fun this time around

Dreams

Dreams
I'm having a difficult time at night
In my sleep, you see
I have been having bad dreams
I wake up in a sweat over symbols that appear,
Last night I was chased by bears and doors,
Many doors that open,
I just I do not know where they lead and what it all means
I talked it over with my therapist and he gave me some medicine
He said take this and your dreams will go away
Is this what I really want?
You see those dreams are trying to tell me something
About my life and my state of mind
I just do not know what it's all about
I have a dream book
I open it from time to time
But not all the dream is answered at this time
I do not want to up the dosage
You see, I enjoy dreaming
And not all of them are bad
We will just see what come to past
Good tonight.

Hercules do come quick

Hercules do come quick
I need to move a cabinet,
we need a bit of muscle
If you please
I'm trying so.
But I can't move it and inch or a bit
and you are the man with all the strength
History remembers you
especially the woman you ran into,
you know the one that cut your curls
To me, you are still a hero
see you later Hercules,
give us a pose so we can take a selfiy;
And by the way, no more toppling buildings
I don't want you to get into mischief
You historical figure
see yah

I Went Dark Today

I Went Dark Today

I went dark today
anger has taken over my mind,
I'm not very loving or kind, I'm ashamed to say
it not a very pleasent time.
I'm angry as hell, and I can't control it in any way.
of this I will say.
My love did treat me rough,
and for that I hate her so much.
I don't want to say one word to her
I'm locked up like a giant clam.
It's going to be a while until the love in me returns,
all in due time,
Perhaps tomorrow, hopefully by noon
When rainbows will make a path
I have gone dark,
A shadow cast over my soul
I hope it does not last for very long.
I only know that I feel like crawling up like a ball,
And roll myself into a big hole.

I Feed The Pigeons In The Morning

I Feed The Pigeons In The Morning

I feed the pigeons in the morning
just as the sun is coming up
when everything feels very alive.
They come in droves the word is out,
Marc has lots of bread and water
that is the place to park,
also we must sit and squander;
So we can kibits for while longer.
Towards the afternoon the crows come by also the sparrows
They do not fight, they are quite mellow.
I have for them many delights,
they dip it in the water who taught them that?
And now it's really getting near dark, here comes the bats
I cover my neck just to be safe,
since they are vampires with rabies,
Beady eyes and fangs
they are kind of scary
My dogs are well fed
The wife too
I'm watching a few last tv shows
I feel good
soon I will be in bed and tomorrow, well
we can do it all again
it just another day
