Marnesha Powell Poem
Her Truth
"Me too", the minute she heard that she was instantly transported to another time, another place.
Not tonight again, she thought, how much longer can I bear this? She asked.
And instantly she felt unworthy, used, unloved. She didn't care what teachers said, didn't care what her mother said because in this instance no words can erase the damage his action had done.
The slow mental destruction, which manifested in her safe haven, seemed like forever but in reality it lasted half an hour.
He got up, with a dysfunctional satisfied look on his face while she tried to busy her mind to take away this inadequate feeling inside.
"Excuse me?" She heard and was awakened just as quickly as she was transported.
She looked around trying to figure out where she was and realized she was at work in a meeting and the CEO made a statement to which someone answered me too.
Her truth is she's still not emotionally over this mountain, she's still in the shadow valley patiently waiting to share her truth to be healed.
