Dear Snake Charmer

Dear snake charmer, i see you brought your lucky charm
Go ahead and tame the poison in my bloodstream
Quell the anger in my snare, do the impossible and tame time
Make the audience clap for me, or you
Who cares anyway? as long as we steal every ounce of their attention
I just wanna play a little, fool around without sinking my fangs into your warm skin
I forgot how to kiss so all i'm left with is a hiss
Toy with my body but make sure i don't wrap myself around you
For the last time i hugged a charmer, i stole the life out of his eyes
Play me a song with your flute but ease up on the volume
I wanna hear your heartbeat as it echoes in the air
Say a little prayer for me, maybe you can cleanse me of the sins of my father
The one with the lethal tongue that lied to the children of eden
So how about you play that song for me

Naked Thoughts

One unread, there goes that heart again
Beating fast for no apparent reason
Two missed calls, there goes that brain again
Leaving me to my emotions.Where is the devotion?
I''ll be damned if i become a slave to them
Three knocks on my door, there goes my sanity
Flying out through the window i just fixed
Five vowels, three consonants and a croissant
There goes my pride, evaporating into thin air
Along with my self-control as you call out my name
Tame yourself before my morality listens to my body
Surrendering to its every desire like a liar
I cant afford to ruin this pair, its brand new
Though i cannot lie that you have me dripping
Strumming myself like am an electric guitar hooked to your bass
Tugging my breasts like i'm trying to find you on the radio
I better control myself before the beast in me escapes
You make it sound like the worst thing, feed the beast
Let it roar in pleasure to every naked thought you have ever heard

Broken Vessels

Cigars and whisky for dinner
Prostitutes for my prostate
Pardon my french, let me rephrase that
Escorts for my ego
Last night,one big blur
Shit! it’s 6am,7 missed calls,8 messages
Where are you? On my way to the airport
Cruising altitude, mad hangover with a slight case of emptiness

Empty skies.Endless oceans
Fasten your seatbelts,we are about to land
*clicking sound* heavy sigh
Rye for the spy.Lie for the sky
Oh shit! I think I’m still high

Sharpen my blade, I’m out of ink
Draw blood,let it spill
Directly into that vessel, yes, the cracked one
It will hold.Im certain
It’s held lava from lovers
Walked on thin ice with a heavy heart
Treaded the atlas,forming roads
Burning bridges

The last bridge,a bank teller with a best seller
She was perfect and I wasn’t
Somewhere in that line, lies the truth
Stellar thoughts.
Skies don’t need pilots
Oceans don’t need sailors
Vessels do need cracks, they add character

Broken Toys

Once filled with joy and wonder,
Now cracked with blood and powder,
Yet molded by ceramic lava with no ocean lover,
Laced by unfiltered poison with no filtered antidote,
While punching bag pulses raced through the steamy ridges.
The village elders recommended lacquer mixed gold and silver,
Though the darkness served ortolon with white linen sheets to cover the hovering shame.
Defy the gods and feed the ego, it said.
For some egos cant be fed with money or company.
This is often masked as strength but musked with volumes of solitude and silence.

I remember assasins falling from the sky with rifles and swords,
As i stood there with leaves, gin and a blunt knife,
Yesterday's reflection of me got me helplessly drunk
It was religiously and morally sinful
Delivering delightful insight which a lost soul like me couldnt begin to fathom,
The liquor soon slipped from my hand and mind,
Leaving me hangover with a hangar filled with empty hangers,
Smoke rings choked the pain out of me in the most painless way
Every ceramic piece floated with the wind along with my regrets

Gravity was a jealous entity, for it brought every piece
Crushing to the ground and burning in flames
Engraving great wisdom on the flying debris
Luckily, the elders lent a hand in putting every molecule of me back together
As gold and silver lacquer flowed through the cracks,
The cyanide in me seeped out like worms from the soil
Each card went back to its rightful place on the deck
Almost like a jigsaw puzzle revealing the true wonder and bigger picture only in the end.
The completion of a brand new masterpiece and not a fixed broken toy.

Stormy New Beginnings

Appointment with the sandman,interrupted
Snooze button,untouched.Not this year
Phone’s ringing,wake up call.Accept
Voices in my head, loud and clear
Blood in my veins,steaming hot
Candle lit dinner with my soul, psychedelic
Steak on my plate,medium rare
Affairs of the heart,complicated
Howling wolves,it’s a full moon

I’ll wear my heart on my sleeve, proudly so
Etched into my skin, will be my aces
Riding shotgun with my diamond-cut fists
The left side of my brain, unhinged
A few screws still lay on the ground
I’ll have that molotov cocktail, to go
Don’t forget to put that story in the doggy bag

I fear a storm is coming, ill need that umbrella
On second thought, let me appeal to its better nature
What thoughts run through your head pretty storm?
Do you dream of hurricanes or clear blue skies?
Have you ever been in love ? Or did you lose your heart to this unapologetic world?
Does the thought of dying alone send shivers down your spine? Or does it excite you like a child on a trampoline?
Do you wish the eclipse would last forever or are you secretly in love with the sun?
Would you sweep this town if he was yours?
Would you count sheep if you tasted his rays?
Or would you rather terrorize this town than admit your feelings for him?
Such questions keep me up at night
I wonder if they have the same effect on you
I have to go now but here is my number
If you ever feel like talking about new beginnings

Untitled Creations

I had a dream, I got everything I wanted
Not what you’d think, I felt like a hostage to my ego
The lobster was better but I never had time to savor it
Puzzles and anagrams filled the padded cell I call my mind
Bulls and bears fought on my tobacco ranch
It wasn’t all bad though
Champagne did wonders for my stress
Life at the beach came with new recipes
My misses was happier there than the city
Her smile made it all worth it
Her touch drove me to madness but the long distance felt like a whiplash to my soul
I still pray, not as often but just as sincere
Detailed plays run through my mind and stage
Perhaps I was a playwright in another life
Or a struggling artist who loves his pinot
We are still under construction though
The foundation is almost done but we are nowhere close to the ceiling
I must admit, I can’t wait for the sequel
