Smile

see that smile
it seems real
you would never know she's suicidal
there are so many things she must feel

there is always a label
it was pasted on
she was never able
till she was gone

the blood that flowed inside
as it spilled on the floor
the blades were never pried
from her hands when she wanted more

the crimson out of her wrist
she knew she wouldn't be missed

The End

She knew it was tonight
She began to write

There was no way
She could escape the days

Her life began to unfold
No stories left to be told

There was no way for it to mend
This was the end

She looked at the starry sky
This is how she would say goodbye

She popped the pills one by one
This was her idea of fun

She was done
Before it had all begun

She had no time left to spend
This was the end

More

not worth the pain he caused
the troubles left behind
her problems couldn't be paused
she thought she was losing her mind

he took a part of her heart
even though it wasn't deserved
that was only the start
what should have been reserved

this is what she got
not another chance for better
her love couldn't be bought
only and apollogy in a letter

she deserved more
when he chose to walk out the door

Letting Go

Letting go of you
Something you did so easily
Something I never thought I could do
Now I see you living life peacefully
It makes me wonder if you remember me
Everything we used to be
Do you even see the good parts of me
Maybe we will never even agree
I’m sorry we didn’t even try
This is just a goodbye

Holding On

Holding on tight
Not wanting to let go
Thinking your right
But really you don’t know

Holding on forever
That won’t make it any better
Thinking it was clever
Starting to write a letter

No more holding on
Beginning to tie the noose
Not letting this go on
Feeling my body sway loose

I’m sorry for wanting to die
This was my way of saying goodbye

only three words
so much meaning

Whisky

He took another gulp of whisky
She walked into the room even though she knew it was risky

The words he said were slurred
He grabbed another bottle and that was his third

He stood upon the floor
His voice was like a roar

Her eyes filled with tears
She knows what she has to fear

She had no clue
What to do

Her heart sank
As he drank

Her eyes stung
As his fist swung

She felt like she drowned
As her head hit the ground

She knew this was it
She took another hit

She never fought back
Everything went black

Shhe wanted to get away
And he was in dismay

She ran as fast as she could
But she knew she never would

She knew it was extreme
But this was just a dream

Black and Blue

The way she had been used
The black and blue that bruised
The way she knew he was abused

This gave him no excuse
She said it was just the booze
Thsi was no news

The yells that boomed
She knew she was doomed
At least that's what she assumed

Given

The bad side of town
Shouldn’t have gone

Giving things away
Not theirs to take

Something so precious
You hold onto tight

Once it leaves
There’s no more fight

Standing still
Lost in fright

A pain erupted
Not a clue

On the ground
Shots fired

No more pain
Just another body

Lay next to me
Not another breath

Could never be repaid
One for another

A gift
No gift recipient

No way to change
The new reality
