Deborah Russell Poem
If you face a raging sea
without a way to flee;
God can make a way of escape
in any form, size, or shape.
Five stones and a slingshot
is all it took.
Goliath fell down like a book
as they all took a look.
God sent Elijah, the prophet,
to a little brook;
he was fed from the ravens
as God undertook.
He used a little boy's lunch
for others to munch.
It was a simple fare
but there was plenty to spare.
God can make a way.
If your heart does not stray.

Deborah Russell Poem
Silently it creeps about without a doubt.
Sometimes it causes grief just like a thief.
Waiting to give you a fright
when it comes out at night.
If you take the time to pause
a lot of trouble it does cause.
Life or death is within its grip
while it continually drips.
It has lost many a soul in its death toll.
I stay out of the way when it stays.

Deborah Russell Poem
Without God's love
we would have no clouds above,
there would be no stars in the sky,
and the butterflies would not fly.
Without God's love
there would be no turtledoves,
the ocean would be dry,
and we would have no fish to fry.
Without God's love,
the flowers would not bloom,
we would have no mushrooms,
the earth would be empty and bare,
and then we would have nothing to share.

Deborah Russell Poem
I say it's a jungle out there.
Satan is watching and waiting to take you into his snare.
His serpent lurks in the swamp seeking whom he may
devour with his poisonous venom.
The monkey and gorillas swing high in the treetops,
tempting you with their forbidden fruits.
The hyenas come out at night
searching and hunting for every prey in sight.
Their voices ring with laughter and scorn,
"Where is your God now, he doesn't care if you were born"?
While the lions and tigers seek for those they can devour
since they roam at will as they hunt and kill.
Then there are the hidden and unseen dangers
waiting for you to fall into their trap.
Satan will then laugh at you in scorn
when you are trapped in his snare of thorns.
He tantalizes and teases you in the world of porn.
It's a jungle out there without some prayer.

Deborah Russell Poem
God, open my eyes so I can see
the hurts of others that belong to thee.
Give me a heart that will listen to their plea.
God, help me look beyond what I can see
therefore I can help others like me.
It will help set my spirit free
if I can be your servant is the key.
Let your spirit that dwells in me
comfort those who are in need of thee.
Give me a heart that will listen to their plea.

Deborah Russell Poem
If you happen to have some time?
It may cost you a little more than a dime.
Reach out and touch someone on-line
if you drop a line you're doing fine.
If you love someone give them a hug
it's better than giving them a shrug.
Smile it will give your face a rest.
I think you will be blest
If there's not a person who cares.
Have you taken time to share?
