Lost Love

In a voyage through pain
I lost my homing instincts
I'm trapped in the claws of sadness
Smothering on sorrowful violin strings
Heart not at peace
But broken into piece'
I'm enslaved in sorrow's tyranny

Embraced by pain
For I no longer have her arms
The peace in my heart slain
Still pining to her charms

I was leaving the dream
Never knew
It was meant for sleeping
I thought this love was ageless
But now I know it's lifeless

Tell whoever that said love is true
That there's no way through
It's just life's throe
Tell whoever that said it's 'Well'
That my eyes still swim in a 'pool' of tears

Friendship

Friendship,
is not only boarding a friend's ship
When the wind is on his side,
But also staying with him through his hardship
And showing him love deep from your inside.

Where Do Broken Hearts Go

When hearts are broken,
They travel to the land of sadness
By ships of sorrow,
They sail through oceans of tears.
Captained by solitude,
They go through raging storm of unsettledness

Broken hearts go deep,
Into trenches of pain.
Intoxicated by grief,
They tremble in fear

Fading reason,
Catapults them into the field of mayhem.
They suffer pinches from thorns of loneliness
And are made to settle on the throne of solitude

Ask me where broken hearts go,
 And I'll tell you
They go nowhere,
But deep down the drain.

I Say Them No More

Sicken all this while
Life is in a jittery
For the pleasures of life not a surety
Sorrow haunts my abilities

I'm enmeshed to grief and solitude
I never swore to serve pain
Never did I take aye to sorrow
Yet I'm submerged in life's pool of agony

I play for the world love tunes
But in return it gives me misfortunes
Guess I was born to be lonely
With no one to call my one and only
The ladder that lead others to fame
Leads me to shame

These words are of the past
I say them no more
The war against life is over
I have found hope
Thank you God for touching me
And for being there
My best company.

It's Over

It's out of control
My heart is
The feeling inside
Is like the ferocious oceans ripple
Caused by storms from angry gods

The voice like tunes from a harp
Has turned to melodies of pain and sorrow
My soul is sailing through the ocean of tears
For the beginning of our end seems near

Loneliness has knocked me off my feet
I'm the only occupant to loves seat
I feel in my veins it's over
The end of us a lucid dream

With You Forever

Calm as the still waters
Breezy as autumn's dew
your eyes depict the skies

Right here in your love's prison
I'll serve my life sentence
I'm tempted with no reason
To be out of your presence

In my love's galaxy
You are the brightest of all the star'
Your love is soothing
Like tunes from a guitar
I'll be with you till the end of time
My love for you will never expire.

Sons of Eden

The call of morning roosters,
Is a call of God's gardeners to duty.
I see footprints cast
In the breezy dew of the early morning,
As they lumbar to their fields

Ignoring the ache in their backs,
shadows of sleep under the eyes
and the hurt of their callused palms.
They still hold to hoes and cutlasses
Duty calls, a call they can't ignore

With cracked but soothing voice,
they sing to the spirits of the air
whilst grabbing weeds away,
from the paths of their crops.
There's no sigh of relief
until the sun starts to sleep.

They give no ear to tiredness,
even when their veins scream for help.
For they were born to serve at the altar of God
With bread from their fields of corn
and wine from grapes in their yard of vine.

They were chosen by the heavens above,
to work under the sun's very radiation
to feed and care for the whole nation.
Their love for humanity,
was incubated and hatched in lands beyond
the reach of mortals.

We live on their crops
and feed on their livestock.
Eden's sons deserve our applause
For they sustain our lives.
         Long live Heroes...

Africa My Home

Dry bread at home is better than roasted meat
abroad they say.
Nothing can be compared to my home,
not in any way.

I've been to the north, south, east
and to the west.
But trust me my home is the best.
If there's anything from nature I could request
I would've asked my maker never to put
my home and I asunder

My home! Your love for your subjects I'll
always remember
My home my strength, my passion, my life
my love.
A home sent to me straight from the heavens
above.

I may echo through the afterlife
And be denied my right to life
I may pay to death his ransom
But even in my death, I'll have a good rest
on your very bosom.
AFRICA my HOME.

Where Am I From

Where am I from? A mulatto.
Is there a place to call my home?
“Hey piggy!!” the blacks say to me
"You monkey", words of the white.

If the velvety black skies
give room for stars to bloom,
Why am I not worth your love?

If behind the white expanse
charcoal clouds can loom,
Why do I not deserve a brotherhood?

Unbar your wounds and mine,
do they not spill the same crimson waters?
Oh, Why call me a stranger?
When we just are different lights
from a common spectrum?

Be silent about where I come from,
because I want to live like you.
Look not at my colour,
to attribute me to a nationality
Be me not characterised into a race
Just make me one of your own.

Whether Black or white,
American or Asian,
European or from Africa.
We are one people.

Black Is Beauty

They say we have the body of slaves,
But no we've got the heart of lions.
Our courage doesn't roar ,
But speaks with a silent voice.

Dark bodies, sure "Blacks" they call us
Proud of our astonishing beauty
And our unending love and unity
There's an energy, strain, wave connecting everyone

Triumph of imagination over intelligence
Yes! That is the love that binds us
Love and unity is our burning desire.
The passion of hospitality runs through our veins
Black is our culture and Black is Beautiful

The equation of Black to failure ,
Is total savagery.
Black is no synonym to slavery.
The dark pigmentation of a body,
Is no limitation Its abilities.

Black is strong,
Black is fearless,
Being Black is no wrong.
Black lives on and on and on...
