My hands falter when I write about you,
Yes, you!
I still cling on to the "could've beens",
The times we shared together,
The time is moving at rapid pace
For I am still that that unfinished art that needs to be carved to perfection.
Promises often fail us,
But memories stay with us till the deathbed.
I still long for you
I still hold on to hope
For miracles do happen,
But after everything I 've gone through,
I'm a guide who has lost its way
Into the world of unknown.
Yes, you!
You have changed a lot in me,
I've lost the inner zeal and vim for life.
I'm a bird with broken wings ready for its flight
Poetry doesn't flow unanimously,
For you'd make me feel,
How hearts bleed even without bleeding!
How you cry even without shedding a tear!
My words have endured a lot of pain,
But now I have changed,
Maybe I will still cry myself to sleep,
Maybe my heart will still skip a heat when i hear your name,
Maybe I will still engulf in nostalgia of those good times.
But now I've learned something.
That no one stays.
We are all alone.
And now the bird has healed its broken wings
Its ready to fly
Maybe for the one last time into the world of unknown.
