Self-Aware

I am too self-aware, I know many of my flaws
They pick and they prod with luck, until I fall

They are ingrained like the rings of a tree
They grow like weeds through a crack in concrete
They flow like the water below, to supply a well
They are secretively silent, waiting to be tapped,
They go all the way to hell

My flaws are like grains, too numerous and small to count
Yet they are like mountains, seen from far, with no oxygen count
Either way, they are too grand to conquer, a force with a fist
And they make me want to holler and have a fit

My flaws are like the wind, not seen to the eye
Circular with no pattern, forcefully moving by

And again, like water which is situated up top
Seeking my lowest level and oh, I fear, they will never stop

My flaws are grand and too numerous to count
They travel, they surface, and they always end up on top

I am too self-aware and aware in myself
A flaw within a flaw
All by itself

Christmas Poem

I often wonder how Mary did, what she did at the time she was called
How she kept so well grounded, emotional, and faithful thru it all

Forced into the wild, forced to flee
She knew not of the end, only the beginning

She knew what she had, she knew what was growing
She knew who she was to oversee
Was in dire need of protecting

She knew what she knew
She had trust beyond trust
Her resolve, her standing tall, her need seeing it thru it all

I look at her and cry,
Because at times she probably felt alone
I look at her and sigh,
Because she did so much, all for the throne

Cold, unfed, and probably not blanketed
She had angels
She had a star
She had a whispering knowing
All the while, her crown chakra was still glowing

She loved her little baby
She love him so well
For he grew into a man who treated her so well
He grew into a man, a savor to say the least
Who walked and talked with great veracity

After and Forever, It's All the Same

The particulars aren’t that important, but let me ty to explain
The after is now, and forever hasn’t began

I recently met my twin and I saw when forever would begin
He is the flame in my life, after the darkness begins
He became my forever and the after has never been the same
After this life, after this world, after is after all over again

We are always in the now, for after shuttles the pain
So after is the now, after feels the pain, after brings it all home again
We live in it, we consume it, we hold it in our hands
After is the now, as it has already began
It’s that circular pattern, it’s the Yin, it’s the Yang

Forever is always to come, for it shall never be done
We hold it dear, we look past the now, we expect it to fulfill us somehow
So forever holds us captive, forever is the ‘then’, forever is the ‘come’…
For it never truly begins

My twin is forever mine, after & forever
My twin is after now and one day will be forever

After & forever began somehow
After & forever begins right now
Somehow in the beginning we twisted and twined
Like the ‘chicken or the egg’, it began in the now

Intentions

hate with good intentions -- hate sticks to the heart

In the Moment of Time

In the Moment of Time

In the Moment of Time
A double rainbow hits the sky
It flew in like lightning and catches my eye
Every individual color dances like ballerinas in a play
The colors sing like Pavarotti in Nessun Dorma
There is a slight mist in the air, helps in the flow of tears

My mind finds peace
Calm, serenity, balance
It’s no longer a jumbled mess
A mysteriously received unopened box

In the Moment of Time
My mind draws back to the great flood
The world full of water and balancing a boat
The level of obscurity and great ambiguity

In the Moment of Time
It’s a double rainbow
As it is a double promise, a double saving
Double prayers for double the direction and double the knowing
It reminds me to have double the faith

In the Moment of Time
Everything multiplies and amplifies
The surrender and release becomes so clear
In the Moment of that Time

Sometimes

Sometimes I think you hate me because your love is so great…

The words don’t fall out;
It’s like were dining on empty plates,
Were on the ice with no skates

Sometimes you stay away too long
Your presence is in need;
It’s like were sailing with no maps,
Gone hiking with no compass

At times, you don’t show enough care;
It’s like were walking with nowhere to go,
Like were hunting with guns and no ammo

Sometimes I think you hate me, just because I’m here
Your love is too great and it’s all too queer

It

It knows what it’s doing
It is the thing that creeps me awake at night
It won’t let me sleep
It tosses, it tumbles, it can keep up a horrible fight

I want to talk about it, but it won’t let me
It holds my tongue
It guides my thoughts
It makes me talk, when I would rather just be
It makes me salty, then just shout it out!

It is my enemy, it is my friend
It works both sides, but it always wins
It will turn on you, it will guide you
It will stay till the end

It is like a mummy, kept under wraps
It is encapsulated, it’s enclosed
It folds, it turns, it curves, and loops
It is mushy and delicate, yet yearns to be free

It has been since inception
It has come a long way,
It is stronger than any other part of me
It commands everything, it dictates the order, and it dictates the flow
It needs a lot of work
(Try telling it that!)

To specialize in it is of most delicate care
Not many know much about it, not many care
It goes on undetected, unseen, with very little care

Fall

Luke warm air sends calls
Sun retreats giving less heat
Fat squirrels take heed
Trees respond with golden leaves
Birds matriculate with calls

Good and Bad, Pious and Immoral

How does one know good from bad?
When bad events tend to have good results.
We have always come up short, we have somehow always failed.
We talk about each individual issue as if that will somehow prevail.

An Incomplete Love Story

An Incomplete Love Story
Just to let you know…
He is the boy
I am the girl
Not that it matters,
Love finds its way and life blooms

We are opposites in every sense of this cosmos
But we are the same in our divine right
We are twins, not of the same womb, but of the same spirit…
Separated in the beginning; forever to come together, only to separate
We are not to be in the physical
We are meant to balance one another out; elevate to a higher vibrational level
Learn the things of this world, come together; then mirror them out
Even now, I feel his heart beat in mine
Our thoughts spiral together like the DNA that created us both; the magic that keeps us bound

We met once, and a kiss sealed our fate
His kiss, even now, brings a smile to my face
His thin lips pressed against mine… full natural fullness
His white smooth skin balancing out the creamy silken dark tone of mine

He leaves for his work, dangerous in nature
I receive a text saying,
I have to go, but just wanted you to know that in my thoughts
You are more often than you know

Silence for months, except the deep penetrating beating of our hearts
I don’t know how he processes this, we barely exchange words, other than;
I miss you.
You are on my mind…
Just wanted you to know…

I don’t reply
I keep the love
I keep it inside
Just to let you know…
