They say it’s inside
The reason for the nightmares

They told me to fight it
But I can’t win

They say it’s gone 
But it’s still there

They all ran away 
Because it came out to play

They told her to get away 
But she wanted him near

They were in shock 
When she held him tight

They live in fear
While she loves him dear.

The Long Con

Four years it took
For us to talk

We lasted forever
You always cross my mind

Its been a while
Since I was true to myself 

I’ve been on the run
Like a convict on the move

I coned you
Just as I coned myself

I look at this book
And I remember those three words

Everyone called me a beast,
So a beast I became.

So all everyone saw,
Was just a beast. 

But you saved me from the mob,
You saved me from my beast.

You gave me hope,
You gave me peace.

You call me your prince,

I was beaten 
I was broken

And that made me nothing 
It made me disgusting

You could have left something

Time

Time is relative, time is bliss.
If time is relative
then why do we
waste so much of it?
If time is bliss
then why do we
spend so much of it
with people we don’t care for?
Care is something 
that should be given
to the right people.
If it is wasted
so was the time
it took to give it.
To waste time is to waste love.
But time is not wasted 
if it is spent looking for
someone to share it with.
Love is relative, love is bliss.
