Shamae Bench Poem
Snow-covered pine trees
Line the frozen pathway home,
But we turn away.
The world is a lake of ice,
And we know we have a warm house
Waiting for us to return,
But we keep walking away
Not knowing the road before us,
But we will forever walk forward
Never turning to the road we once knew.

Shamae Bench Poem
I'm sorry you're
so into you who.
I'm so sorry you
had to be such a fool.
I'm sorry I was
such a burden to you.
I am so sorry.

Shamae Bench Poem
That girl in your class,
she has great grades,
she doesn't even have to try.
That girl in your class,
she has seemingly amazing friends
who care about her.
That girl in your class,
she has scars;
lines marking her body
and friends that don't notice
and some that don't care.
That girl in your class,
doesn't remember
what it's not to like to cry,
She cries herself to sleep,
every night.
Remember that one girl in your class...

Shamae Bench Poem
Can't run from it
Always a step behind
The worst is I'm trapped
In my own mind
The end is near
I can't keep trying
Stop asking if I'm okay
I'm tired of lying
My fake smile is getting heavy
Eyes can't hold back
My mind has won
DOne living in the black
Going through the motions
It's almost time to quit
Most fear death
But others like me
Pray for it

Shamae Bench Poem
Silly Little girl
Don't fool yourself
They've seen your scars
Just don't want to help
Little do they know
How much could change
With three little words
"Are you okay?"

Shamae Bench Poem
A lonely girl
With her vacant stares,
Screaming in silence
But nobody cares.
Her pain goes unnoticed,
No one can tell.
She smiles like an angel,
But she's living through hell.
Her eyes brim with madness;
She cuts her own skin.
Her sad little smile
Fades and grows thin.
Scars on her body,
Scars on her soul.
This hateful world
Has taken its toll.

Shamae Bench Poem
Will you still love me
when it's three in the morning
and I'm crying so hard I can't breathe?
Will you still love me
When I coat pillows in mascara and eyeliner?
Will you still love me
When I shut you out
And won't explain to you why
Because I don't want to bring you down?
Will you still love me
When I can't handle being strong
And I find relief in razors
Instead of your arms?
