I Miss You

I miss your laughter, the way you could make me laugh,
Your spontaneity, how we would go for rides at a drop of a hat.

With very little money,We would get in the car and just go.
When we were hungry, we would stop at a convenient store
and get two hotdogs for the price of one. We'd buy one soda and split it.
Then off we would go, down the road not caring where we'd end up.

I miss you, when we would put the kids to bed and then we would turn
off the television and put the radio on and listen to the oldies and dance
   until we were tired.

I miss you when you would get up in the wee hours of the morning to get
ready for work. I would get up and make you breakfast and lunch.
We spent that time just talking until it was time for you to go to work.
You'd kiss me good bye and said " have a great day."

I have a lot more memories to share but that would take a book.
You may seem far away most days, but with the heavenly father you dwell
I always know where to look.
But just know that those memories are stored up in my heart, where you
     belong.

I love you my sweet and gentle husband.
     See you later.

I Am Blessed

I have a roof over my head
  Food in my belly

   I am blessed

   I have three kids
   who I love very much
   and unconditionally.

   I have three grandchildren
who are the apple of my eye.
And makes getting older so much better.

    I am blessed

    I have a job.

    I am blessed.

The most important is I have Jesus Christ
     in my life.

     I am very blessed.

Looking Out the Window

When I awake in the morning
I thank Jesus for another day,
hoping that everything will go well.

But because of the world we live in
it can be hard,,sometimes I just stare
out the window and wonder where did
  it go?

  The laughter you can hear.
  The peacefulness of the earth.

I look out the window I see
  everyone in a hurry.
  Worried about their money issues,
They're working seven days week just
   to make it happen.

  Living and making ends meet.
Not slowing down to realize what really matters.
  God,family,and Love
 Appreciating what they have.

Yes, I look out the window
and see a mixed up world.
Stop and notice how things have changed.
  Get it right.

  Prioritize your life,
  it may just surprise you.
Don't just look at the window.
Lean on God,he's there for you.

People Change

You find out that something has happened a few years back.
Something that affects a family member.
You roll it off to protect your family.
But it plays over in your head.
You're torn to what you need to do.,,protecting your family
  or doing what is right.

In your way of thinking,,,they will get what is coming to them through God.
Trusting in God to do what is right and asking him to protect your family.

I guess it all boils down to, things can happen with people who you thought
  you can trust.

People who were so loving and kind. The kind who you tell your thoughts to.
Then something happens and they go from that loving person to vindictive.

What can you do to make things better. Pray for protection, put it in God's
  hands.
Maybe they changed because they listened to the wrong person.

  How sad, so very sad.

Drawing a Blank

Have you ever drew a blank, when writing a poem?
I have. I know what I want to write and I sit down and start to write it
Then in the middle of the poem I am writing, I go blank.
I stare at the poem in writing, hoping for some creative words to come.

This is so frustrating. I love to write and get my feelings down on paper, or
should I say on the computer.
I love to write spontaneously, just let my fingers do the walking across the
keys. Have the words come yet?
I don't really know. I am just typing.

I have carried a note pad and a pen in case something comes to mind.
Then I can write down my thoughts and put them in a poem.
That's what my poems are mostly about, my thoughts.

I can get lost in my writing.
   It's a great stress relief.
To just let go and let your fingers walk across the keys.
   Careful not to stumble.

Well I believe, my mind found some words to put down.
   I love to write.
   **Smiles**

Whatever Happened To Wine and Roses

You welcome me with a bouquet of
 red roses.
We go to a nice dinner,
 clinking our wine glasses
 enjoying each others company.

At home,We put on soothing music.
Carefully you take me into your arms,
Gently you give me a tender kiss.
Holding me,caressing me, making me feel
  so loved.

Oh how I miss this,,the kiss, the touching,,
the feeling of love radiating between us.

But sadly, I don't see this anymore.
Just a knock on the door ,,going for a burger,
  checking out a movie.
coming home ,,maybe a kiss ,,,No talking,,No romancing
"sighs" Where did it all go?

Stressed Turn Into Desserts

Muscles in the body tighten up
  temper flares, wrong words
  come out of your mouth

  You just want everyone
  to leave you alone.
  You cry, needing God.

  You ask for strength
  to get you through
  the storm that has
  tangled your body.

  Then all of a sudden
You come up with a solution
  A hot fudge sundae topped
  with mounds of whipped cream
  with a cherry on top.

  Hmmm..Your body starts to
soften and your soul calms down.

 Stressed,,,,desserts
 a good solution to
 calm the body,,along with
 our heavenly Father.
