Gloria Dennis Poem
My father was like an old Oak tree, with grain
strong enough to bend the strongest nail . and
I was a sprout that grew beside his trunk. His
branches sheltered me fro the World's evil flame
and when I matured and was transplanted to
grow on my own and free, I became a plank
from the old Oak tree.

Gloria Dennis Poem
Pretty rows of Tulips standing straight and tall
Sipping morning dew drops by the garden wall
You look like lovely ladies gathered for a chat
Each displaying her boldest colored Sunday hat
Oh lovely ladies... tell me what your secrets are
Who made you glow like a stunning movie star
Bathed with the fresh cool rains of early spring
Your fragrance makes all of God's Angels sing
