The Longest Night

This life...
This is my longest night,
Never a star,
Never glistening moonlight,
To dream of the sun and its impossible warmth,
Was always an inconceivable dream,
I would settle for dimly lit stars and occasionally moonbeams,
I wrapped myself in obscurity,
Trusting the night to hide me from a daylight that would never come,
Longing for time to stand still,
But my anguish was unable to possess it,
Longing for morning to come,
To end this longest night.

Mystery

It is one of those days again,
where everything is off track,
It is one of those days again,
I try and never find my way back,
always lost in this common misconception,
perhaps dazed by my own reflection,
Satisfaction deludes and misconstrues,
hope feels lost without you,
Who abuses me,
but me,
Who accuses me,
only me,
Never deny the evidences,
truth always follows every lie,
Can't hide that which refuses to stay shrouded

Innocents

Where has our childhood innocents gone?
Where is that innocent kiss?
I long to wander back,
to that wide-eyed state of mind.
The loneliness of being grown up,
is taking a tow.
How it tears apart my soul,
leaving my insides lost ...confused.
How im lost without you.
Can't we wander back in time?
If i could stop those evil hands,
steal back my life.
I would run away,
hide where time is still ... innocent.
Hide in fields and flowers.
The wind with summer days,
is where you would find me
Why can't I find myself?
How I hate this passing of time,
An inward struggle wrestles,
alienates me,
makes me empty,
makes me callous... bitter.
Who am I?
What have I become?
All reason has left me,
flow out the window.
Broken, bruised, torn,
bleeding on the floor now

Who Am I

What is it like to be alone,
Floating in a ocean,
Lost out at sea,
Would you taste the salty air?
Would you swim the salty waters?
Would your way always be lost?
Or would u find your way home...
What person would you be?
Would you die without worry?
Would you put up the good fight?
Would you sink into despair...
Would you remember your life...
with regret or joy..
Would you find religion...
or lose all you believe in?
Who am I.. who are you?
