Dallan Hathaway Poem
There standing with a hill to view
Above a stream were just two
About little flowers, purple, white
Ever fading went the light
Evening air rustled the leaves
They stood close in the breeze
Her blue sapphires gleaming
His heart faster beating
The time was now
He took a bow
Her hand in his
The question is
Him to her and her to him
Love shines forever, never dim

Dallan Hathaway Poem
Brought in close by those I love,
during greatest times of need.
Home is not a place, but a feeling.
Surrounded by tender family and good
friends, even if far apart.
I am comforted by their love.
Strengthened by the peacefulness.
A resting place from the turmoil of worlds.
That is what I call home.

Dallan Hathaway Poem
Hopes and dreams are a fickle companion.
Darting in and out as if in no dominion.
Feed them well and they may stay.
Beware, also could they allow so close, then betray.
Ask you, why then will I still chase uncatchable catches?
Say I; the pursuit, without it we all mill about in batches.
Something must be sought, reach far the mind will not go drone.
Perhaps, with luck, goals will be attained, a new life grown.

Dallan Hathaway Poem
Let only greatness flow from me.
Let no one from beneath me.
Let no foolishness escape from me.
Grant me O' Lord, what I may never have.

Dallan Hathaway Poem
Nourish a child,
Life is gained.
Nourish a body,
Health is gained.
Nourish a spririt,
Eternity is gained.

Dallan Hathaway Poem
On the wall, tick, tock, tick, tock
Very slowly, so slowly, the days doth pass
Haze clouds vision, but not of the eyes
Blindness numbing the mind, past brilliance fading to abyss
Weary of mind's turmoil; following suit soul goes to abyss
Withering away, life's precious gifts; nothingness takes the eyes
Body lingers on, spiritual death long has come to pass
On the wall, tick, tock, tick, tock

Dallan Hathaway Poem
I set my heart within trusted hand.
Go forth to set my mark upon the land.
Trusted one protect this tender object with great care.
How, without this, can one any longer fare.
Now neglecting your precious cargo to hold another, allowing the heart to fall
and be destroyed.
Crippled by selfish act, weakened mind and body now by only spirit,
are buoyed.
Downward spiral deep into darkness, great despair, now do I pray for an end
to this cycle, no more for light.
Risen from these depths by unseen helping hand, new appreciation gained,
strengthened, ahead now an upward fight.
Renewed life, family depending upon me, I am driven.
Afflictions by thy hand, all are forgiven.

Dallan Hathaway Poem
Comfort is needed,
Comfort is given.
Love is needed,
Love is given.
Anguish is needed,
Anguish is given.
And such is life.
