Patrick Hamilton Poem
This is too hard
I don’t want to do it
There is simply no way
For me to get through it
Though, often, we confuse
What is hard with what stimulates
We don’t lack the ability
Rather the time that it takes
If we do not practice
Reform what is tough
Then nothing we do
Will prepare us enough
So don’t do what is hard
Do not follow this rule
Never stimulate and prepare
Remain, forever, a fool.

Patrick Hamilton Poem
One lonely, longing, long-time leader
Lost from time and from perspective
His lifelong tendency to cheat and steal
Ever evident and reflective
He helped the rich get richer
At the expense of hampering the poor
The ones needing help got the least
While the one’s with the most got more
He exacted and enacted his will on the masses
Then levied big breaks for elites in their taxes
Though his greatest of rapings occurred when he ran
Not from his wrongs, but instead for the land
He was now at the height of his power assured
Societal defects and diseases
They were his to cure
Unfortunately all of his thoughts were impure
Alternatively, he brought pestilence, famine and war
He was the hammer, the sickle, the axe and the drill
He demanded devotion, dominated his will
Never once thinking for the people
He was only in it for the thrill
That, and the hope that one day,
His legacy would be etched upon a bill.

Patrick Hamilton Poem
Mystically murky memories
Antagonize anyone and anything
Despite delving deep down
Each embellishment encompasses eternal envy
You yearn, yet…
Only one option opens
Understand, undertakings undo unambiguously
Live, laugh, love, let lie
Opt out of obligation
Offer open objections ostensibly
Knowledge kindles kindness

Patrick Hamilton Poem
Polly is in politics
Convinced herself she's great
Though it's tough to find benevolence
Whilst sifting through the hate
Polly has a message
Polly has a creed
The only thing Polly does not have
A strong defense towards greed
So Polly eats the pill
She drinks elixir too
Now Polly's good for nothing
Except reaping rights from you
As long as Polly's seat's secure
Her thoughts are sure to be impure
She'll levy taxes, flex her might
Your first born is probably in her sights
The lobbyists control her
She's their girl more than ours
Standing tall as their lieutenant
As the people fight the powers
Now totalitarian in nature
Absolute power is her goal
The only thing more wretched
Is the state of Polly's soul
Polly wanted to enact change
To love something she grew
What Polly never factored
Money has agendas too
A fallen political player
Someone fresh at any rate
How quickly a people's champion
Became an enemy of the states

Patrick Hamilton Poem
Forward, towards the morn’
Towards the light that breaks through dawn
Spawning a new day
A new way
Or a new escape.
Fate unfolds only for the bold
Those who seek the light
Those who shun the old and stagnant way
Yes, a new day brings refreshing winds of change
The icy breath of renewed life
At the very least,
The promise of the expulsion of strife
Now, the blight of the light
Is that the night houses dark
Which cripples adventurers before they embark
As the most righteous of heroes
Needs a villain for valliance
The light needs the dark for balance.

Patrick Hamilton Poem
You are so very weird
Your weirdness shines true
There are so very few,
Who are weirder than you.
You see, weirdness is relative
Weirdness is wacky
But the right kind of weirdness
Makes true weirdos happy
If you were not weird
Well that would be weird
Weirder than the fact
That weirdness is feared

Patrick Hamilton Poem
Life is not finite
We live to live
Not solely to find our place in the limelight
Be and Exist
A tryst must be made to come true
Do not evade and elude
Life is your chance to be you
Shudder at commonality
True vitality is found only in duality, or three-ality
Escape reality and exist where and how you wish
We can only BE
When we see the big picture
Do not accept fixture or fixation
Become a mixture of elation and excitement
Enlighten the mind so that life may not bind you
Instead, retread previous ground
Abound and rejoice in your choice to inspire
Revel in the muck and the mire
It may just wipe clean the stain of wasted time transpired

Patrick Hamilton Poem
Two Pair of shoes
Which swaddle mine feet
The way it’s accomplished
Is really quite neat
For my two pair of shoes
Adorn my four paws
The paws which extend
From the base of my drawers
How I came to acquire
Four feet no one knows
Like a good pair of shoes
On a person they grow
In regards to my paired shoes
Enough has already been said
For they are certainly better
Than the two pair on my head

Patrick Hamilton Poem
Pack yourself in
Sardines only swim in groups
There is safety in numbers
So rally the troops
You can be better, bigger, smarter, stronger
Though can you live with being a number any longer?
A choice needs a voice
Are you willing to use it?
If you make your appeal
Are you willing to lose it?
Success can only come as you choose it
Undress your mind and you will shine
Follow these guidelines
Let them imbibe you
Unleash your sublime
All will be fine, in time.

Patrick Hamilton Poem
I know this road leads SOMEWHERE…
It came from SOMEWHERE too…
Though in the middle,
it feels like NO WHERE
Unless I am NO WHERE in the middle with YOU
