A Free Soul

A Free Soul

A free soul that,
always stays true to herself
compromises not on her firm beliefs and values
ignores little noises that want to drown her inner voice

A free soul that doesn’t,
invest much time in forced conversations,
spend so much energy on fake friendships
have space for negative and unhealthy relationships

A free soul that sees,
each opportunity as God sent
each failure as a learning curve
each small success as a foundation to greater success

A free soul,
that joyfully spreads sweet and genuine warmth
whose special attention brings much satisfaction
whose dazzling smile and deep love is to be treasured forever

Such a free soul is rare to find…....

Here We Stand Lord

Today we stand,
With our Bibles at hand,
Ready to affirm our vows,
If the time allows

In our lives, you’ve brought a sense of calm,
We experience when we sing the psalm,
You restored our peace,
Prince of Peace

We now give ourselves freely to serve,
And the Sabbath day observe,
Always remembering to break bread on our knees,
Till the end of Times,

Lord, Depart NOT from us!!!

Always a Rose

She was around when the story was written,
Even when the tides rose,
She mastered the art not to be beaten,
That's why she will always be a rose.

As the stars scintillated in the night,
Our fascinating story exploded,
Seeing her face filled with delight,
Meant our romance had finally sparkled.

Since the train has already left the station,
I can now feel its languid movements,
My only wish is her heart to be its final destination,
My flame is burning for the moment.

A Tangy Twist

Alluring and glamorous a flower you were,
You opened your spirit whole heartedly,
And the butterfly in me found the nectar,
Sipping from it brewed a love medley.

Time changes a lot of things,
Who knew that the nectar would turn to booze?
I turned our lives into a graveyard of buried hopes,
Losing you neither seemed a loss nor a bruise.

Now I realize that my actions were rush and unfair,
My infectious affection for you has always been virgin pure,
Others would have found me too much to bear,
But you always devise a way to endure.

If only you knew how I felt with your hands delicately on my skin,
That time you wiped away my tears with your kiss,
The rosy look from your sparky eyes made me win,
You defiantly, still pamper me with ineffable bliss.

Little Voices

As she huddled onto the couch,
She flaked out,
She started hearing little voices,
Which reminded her of the past,
So sweet and charming were the memories,
All the expensive and luxurious things life had to offer,
She had seen and enjoyed,
From the magnificent aurora yatch,
To the spectacular diani beach,
Without forgetting the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta,
All bore her footprints.

But all these are no more,
She wanders like a desert wind
Without a place to rest,
She encourages herself that all is not lost
However, deep down inside,
Thoughts of fighting for a lost course,
Keep on flashing through her mind
Who will come to her rescue?
