The Sacred Cave At the North

Far far away from the known lands
My eyes discovered a sacred cave
Located at the North

I walked
And passed
By many other sacred caves
Seen at the
South
East
West

And finally,
I arrived at the sacred cave
At the North

It was a very long and rough journey
Other caves whispered craving for my entrance
But I have always respectfully
Denied myself their generosity
Having arrived at the sacred cave at the North
I couldn't resist that for long
So I walked in slowly and had some rest

The rest wasn't peaceful
Because echoes from the sacred cave
Pointed out to me that it is a sacred cave and that no one is allowed in until he has fulfilled the rites

There I was
Tired and with regret
Regret of not being just
A little more patient

But here I am
Here, have I found rest
Here I am
Here I vow to stay

The echoes heard my plea
And pardoned me

So I vowed to stay in this sacred cave
Because among all other sacred caves
Seen at the
South
East
And West

This sacred cave
Is that which I have
Vowed to have my rest

Sometimes when I find myself journeying through
The South
East
And West

Back to my sacred cave with my harvest
My boneless leg cries out for some rest

The echoes in these other caves
Whispers me craving
But no matter how
Weak
Fraustrated
Lonely and
Disappointed
I become

I never dare enter those sacred caves
Because I know that each is reserved for only one
One Hunter
One sacred cave
An ideology unacceptable to the known lands

Today, I am still stuck to the sacred cave at the North
And having my rest
I find fulfilment

A divine gift
Offered unconditionally

As I stand on my sacred cave
I see many more sacred caves all over
Curiosity compels me
To walk into them
But that ancient vow

Keeps me away
And away
I vow never to walk
Into any other sacred cave

I keep exploring my sacred cave
The Sacred Cave at the North

The Passion of Christ

THE PASSION OF CHRIST
A Confrontational Poem by Atsu Adaletey

The Passion
Of Christ
Is a Mission
With Thirst

The Passion
Of Christ
Is a Vision
With a firm Decision

The passion of Christ
Is faith in Action
Not a Risk
For Experimentation

Is not to take pride in church mansion with air condition
It is to step out, reach out to those poor souls in a hopeless condition
It is not to take pride in your smartphones during church service
It is to fear the Lord for his greatness and to revere Him with some level of discipline

It is not for church sitters
But for church workers
It is not for crowd-driven souls
But for kingdom-driven souls

The passion for Christ
Now replaced with the passion for lust
That which ignores the essence of the Trinity

The passion for Christ is not for high hills who are reluctant to jump in His praise
The passion for Christ is for flat feet that humble their reputation and position for His praise
The passion for Christ is not for make-ups that fake His praise
The passion for Christ is not for make-ups that denies
the soul from true worship

It is for souls who truly understand what it means to worship Him in truth and in spirit
It is for those whose skin deserves some whip
It is for those whose palms receives some nailing, embracing the pain of sacrifice in worship

The passion for Christ is for “wanna dos”
Not for “wanna sees”

Show me your phone and let Jehovah show me how much time He spends watching over you
Show me your expenses and let the creator who gives you life showcase your offerings and tithes

Tell me how old you are
And let Him tell you how many “minutes” you are left with
Tell me how busy you are
And let Him tell you how free He is

The Passion
Of Christ
Is a Mission
With Thirst

The Passion
Of Christ
Is a Vision
With a firm Decision

The passion of Christ
Is faith in Action
Not a Risk
For Experimentation

It is not for church sitters
But for church workers
It is not for crowd-driven souls
But for kingdom-driven souls

Where is your passion?
In Christianity
or Vanity
?

I Am

I am
I am the eagle that nests its thoughts in the wild

Crawling

Creeping

And craving for purpose

I am
The star that contends with the storms
Maneuvering its way
Through the jungle of weights
Embittered by the tongues of mortals
Souls who could not comprehend my composition and position

I am
A reflection of many shapes
Casting my imaginations on sheets
Heads
To think
And drink
My ink
Of creativity

The lessons buried in the mud of art

I am
Me
He
The tea
Traveling through your intestines
And veins
Awakening your senses
To think through your actions

I am
That naughty pencil that mirrors
Lives
Of mortals
Reminding them of their arrival before the KING of lives
The I am
	  That I am

Love Is a Reality of Absurdity

Coz of love
I risk my life to save a life
Cos of love
I became a fool for the fool
Coz of love
I denied myself the only bread that makes me survive only to see a soul
Survive

Love is a reality of absurdity

Coz of love
I became poor for a dying soul to become rich
Coz of love
I was trapped in the pool of debt, ridicule and sorrow

Love is a reality of absurdity

Love, whether in a relation
For friendship
Or relationship
Geared towards marriage,
It’s that which positions your heart and mind

To Generousity without Expectation
To Tolerance without Limit
To Acceptance without Judgement
To “folly” in Goodness

Love is a reality of absurdity

Rise

Rise

Rise!
Rising to embrace the stars in far space
I rise because
I
	Am
		A
			star

Sparkling
Through
All limitations just to keep
Rising

Even in my darkest hour
I rise
Go ahead, despise me because of my simplicity
But I rise
Go ahead, abuse me cos of my burning passion
But I’m rising

You fake a praise of me in the open but stab me in the back
But hey!
I still rise!

Rising through the mud of busy gossips and backwardness
Rising through the stingy and stinky violations of debts
I am rising

Sure, I am rising because I am a star
Not the kinda star that boats in fame, awards, and glamour
No! I am a star
Not the kind that swims in the pool of foolish pride
No, not the kind that exalts itself as better than any
No! Not the kind that sees itself lesser than any
No no no no no! I am the star

A voice that bright to inspire
The voice that rebukes and heals without fear or favour
Yes, I am that star that thrives to be ME

Today, I thirst to rise
Tomorrow, I fly to rise
My feet are humbled in sandals decorated with potholes
But you can mark my today but you have no idea the scope of my tomorrow
I rise cos day in and day out I crave for innovation
A vision that lightens my tears
A mission that fastens my footsteps

I keep rising
Rise
Rise me
Rise

Rising through the South
To
The North
Through the West
To the East
I will always become the NEWS that rises
A global voice that tours the hearts of millions
I
Rise
So rise!

Who Are You

You
Who are you?
Who are you to despise me?
To threaten my future?
				To judge me?

Who are you to hold on to my rights?
Who are you to judge my abilities?
Who do you think you are?

A god?
An ignorant and struggling mortal living in the lies of hypocrisy
With no sense of Godly fear?
You use your stool to threaten my right?
You
      don’t
	    dare
I am a heir of His promises for eternity
So keep stuck to your track
And let me pray He delivers you from insanity and vanity

I am the simple soul who prides myself with a living GOD
I am the wise ant who gathers ahead of time
And secures my survival at the heat of starvation
Who are you?

I am not the follow-the-crowd fly that muds itself in the ditch of shame
I am the follow-the-ladder sheep that strides with a faithful shepherd
The
      I am who I am
So I ask
            Who
                    Are
		         You?

Absurdity

When everything around me throws me into the pool of insanity
It reminds me of the nature of humanity
A justification of reality
When trapped in poverty
I thrive to survive in this life of uncertainty

While some sell their virginity to survive
I sell my talent to survive
While some reincarnate pharaonic slavery just to survive
I trust in the living God to survive

To attain a mere degree, they compromise the code of morality
But I believe in the trinity; Transparency, Dignity And Loyalty

They applaud me when I fulfill their request
But mock and bite me at the back when I thrive to be my best
They push me away when I’m in debt
But pull me when I’m the greatest

So, what then is the meaning of life?
Why do we foolishly thrive to please people?

Why can’t you be you as YOU?
Why can’t you be real?
Why do you suffocate your identity just to keep up an appearance?

This is absurdity
An insanity
That which reflects the nature of humanity
A reality
Nobody seem to understand me cos they are not me
But I love me cos I am ME.

God Does Not Exist

Exist?
No!
God
Does
Not
Exist!

Yes, I read that the earth was formless
And gross darkness was enstooled in the endless
And He commanded; “Let there be light”
But still, with me

God
Does
Not
Exist

No
Not in my life does He exist

Sure, you looking at me and perhaps
You want to frown at these lines of mine
Which won’t prompt you to give me a high five
But that doesn’t move me a bit cos my instinct always makes me dive

Diving deep into the reality of a survival with no life
Reality of the numerous tours in my mental estate
That which you have no clue of my presence state

Come on, I’m surely going to shout out
Holding to the fact that He doesn’t exist
Cos you have no idea
For what I went through
You have no idea
You know nothing much about my past
Yes you have no idea
You don’t know how deeply I used to serve Him
So stop murmuring

Yes, you, you really have no idea
You have no glimpse of the precious times in memory
And you have no idea the money I invested into His works
So believe me when I say you have no idea

You have no idea
How my friends ridiculed and rejected me when I got born again
So I meant it when I say you have no drop of idea
When the so called men of God defiled my virginity
You have no idea

You have no idea
How I felt when the so called Christians openly hug me
And smiles with me
But stab me at the back
O yea folks you have no idea

His words says “… let all who are heavily burdened call on Him …”
But you have no idea how severally I have called Him
Only to experience my hope threatened with doubt
Flying with the wings of doubt
With my thought thrown through the wide exit!

No
He
Does
Not
Exist

No, not in my life does He exist

If you think I’m irritating
Then I want someone to prove me wrong that He exist
And I’m going to walk straight to you with a high five
And trust me, you would need to prove that before the whole world
And with your life

I have had it all
And have concluded that no matter what
I don’t have the faith to live that faith-life

That’s right
My flesh is talking it out
Loud
But honestly
Right here
Deep down in my heart

I do strongly believe that

HE

Surely

Does

Exist.

Fair

Swimming in the pool of despair
They conclude that the world is unfair
But not all people are fair
				(light skin)
Or fair
          (impartial)
I see pretty women; dark and fair
With short and long hair
O yes, I look at them not because they are fair
No. I look at them because I expect them to be fair
                                                                                         (with life)

Women, look closely and you would realize that your breasts are not fair in size
Do not be shy
One is slightly bigger than the other
Men, look closely and you would realize that your testicles are not fair in size
Do not be shy
One is slightly bigger than the other
Women, why aren’t you all having buttocks with the same size?
O the creator has some sense of humour and diversity

I see ladies passing by, attached with big and small buttocks
Slim and fat buttocks
Dark and fair buttocks
Light and heavy buttocks
Gentle and arrogant buttocks

O! Buttocks with diverse shapes, colours, sizes and characteristics
Women believe that the world is not fair so
They take in pills and injections just to change the size of their breast and buttocks

Men also believe that the world is not fair so
They want to be hard like the rock
They want to be long like a python on a rock
Like a housefly, they defile their matrimonial bed and lift up their arms in the air like the famous wrestler, the ROCK

Burnt in evil passion, men and men engage in an abominable act because they think it’s fair
You do all these because you believe that life is unfair?!
I believe that life is fair
Because not all are fair

God wants you to be fair in an unfair situation
You know why?
Because that is designed to make you strong in life!
The fact is that life is not fair
But the truth is that life is fair
So in all your thoughts and deeds, be fair
Because the Lord is always fair.
