Amos Joshua Poem
He left with the early train
He left in the rain
He had left only a letter
He didn't bother to wake her
As she slept like peace, a glow on her face
Bathed in the memories of the pleasure;
the pleasures of the night, memories she can't erase
For she wanted the night to last forever...
She woke up to find no one there
Just a paper, staring from the chair.
She rushed to read, her face colored with smiles
Then it all changed as she read the first eight lines:
"Sorry Stacey, but I had to leave,
Behind the glass I've kept our ring,
And a divorce note, please read it through,
She's expecting my child, this marriage can't continue..."
"Yes I've been seeing her, her name is Shyer,
Since you couldn't bear, I had to try her.
I need a child, you know that more,
Ten years and you could't bear, I'm moving on."
She dried the tears, but in vain she tried
Lost in the confusion of whether or not to cry
And last night?
Was all that a lie?
Within the next few weeks she had died
For she could no longer tell if she was alive
She waited to wake up from this dreadful dream
But each day the pain in her heart reminded her it was all real.
Still not a single word from him
Her hold onto life had grown thin...
Food irritated her
Her smiles had neglected her
She feared to sleep, she feared to stay awake
With swollen eyes and a convulsive head quake
She was alive, yet she had died
She was put to death by those eight lines...
Two more weeks and she sat dazed before the doctor
Lost in shock, as she read the test results.
"Congratulations Stacey; this time you scaled through,
You are pregnant, and more so, with twins...

Amos Joshua Poem
We were two love birds
Flying on love's golden wings
I flip and you flap, you flap and I flip
We played our strings against the wind...
We were two eyes burning suns
We saw the light together
You peek and I peep, I peek and you peep
We envisioned our own forever...
Now we are just two birds of prey
Hunting down suffocating emotions
I frown and you sulk, we became stuck in our frowns
Two parallel trajectories, with no point of intersection...
Love has gone to sleep
While we played the game of thrones...
From a garden of beautiful roses
How did love come to be overthrown...?

Amos Joshua Poem
She met him on Frim
Her groom in green
A love birthed on screen
A long distance between
A joke at first it seemed
But then like magic it beamed
Like a stroke of sun beam
Only the kind seen in films
Facebook and pings
Like a fairy dream
Two hearts that would swim
To the direction of love's stream
As time's path crawled slow
Dust had settled on snow
Seasons would come and go
For they refused to let go
Like magic tying their hearts
A curse that would forever last
As days of years elapsed
Their love only grew vast
And now here they are at last
No longer to talk through glass
From a love that started on the screen
He is now her groom in green...

Amos Joshua Poem
You are the reason
I wake up at dawn
With a smile on my face
Like all my sorrow's gone.
You are the reason
I prepare for the coming day
My cheeks full with anticipation
No matter what may come my way
You are the reason
I get back up each time I fall
'Cause the sun, peeking from within your smile
Gives me a million reasons to stand tall
So I wake up, every single morning
Singing thanks from out of unspoken words
Calming the lingering desire to see your face
And that sunny smile, like none in the world.
'Cause you give me strength
By your mere existence
By merely being you, perfectly you
Blessed with beauty, in perfect consistence.
You are the reason
I pray each night the sun to make haste
And bring dawn to my door again
So once more, I may see your face...

Amos Joshua Poem
Somewhere out there, in the cold
A homeless child seeks warmth
When the world has gone to sleep
And fat bellies on warm beds snore
The night creeps in slowly
Time crawls sluggishly, on sleepy feet
The restless wind, caresses the streets
Folded in himself, he begs for sleep
Dreams are all his treasures
Where laughter and love abound
Where nights are warm and days are bright
He awaits, by sleep to be found
As tomorrow prepares all its uncertainties
The riddles that only hope surmount
The night stings its cold cruelty
To nothing his pleas amount
The biting cold of the season's breath
He wishes some times for death
But a poor little child he is
With no understanding of death and birth
Shaking in his cover of rags
Crying and praying to be found
He cries his way to sleep
Praying for dawn to come around
And at last came the yawning morn
The sun smiles the streets awake
Grateful to have survived the night
He looks on to what on this day awaits
He comes to him with open arms
"Can you help me for some food, I'm starving he says"
But the stranger walks on by
"No food for you boy, this one's for my pets he says"

Amos Joshua Poem
Let us kiss the sun to sleep
As we pluck stars to decorate our dreams.
Groans
Moans
On this bed of roses we shall empty our wants
To catch a dove and give it a home.
Sun
Rain
Seasons shall come and leave again
In this adventure on passion's train
In my arms you may go astray
I'll let the train carry us away.
Action
Inaction
Time doesn't care about us
Let us become our own version
Of seconds, minutes and hours
We shall hold time to ransom.
Days
Nights
Let us seduce the naked skies
As we drink love to intoxicating heights.
You
Me
And nothing in between
Let us defy gravity
As we redefine magnetism
When you become me, and I become you.
Lights
Sparks
Bodies to stars
Resign with me
Into this ageless consummation
Your lips, a love song
I will always remember
Forever
Love
Right here with us.
Who cares about the world...
